Buddlea

Buddlea

Few plants shine as brightly in August as the buddlea, and when butterflies frisk the nectar-rich flowers they create a high-summer spectacle second to none.  Hardy buddleia such as 'Pink Delight' are trouble-free, adaptable shrubs for sunny, warm positions. They sulk in shade and prefer well-drained soil. Deadhead to extend the flowering season, then remove spent flower heads in autumn to prevent unwanted seedlings.
