Phlox Subulata

Phlox Subulata

Small pink flowers bloom on this ground cover in early spring.  Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil and prune after flowering for a healthier plant.  A good plant to use with your spring flowering bulbs such as Tulips and Daffodils. This plant tolerates some drought and a little salt and will grow in moist soils but prefers well-drained/loamy or sandy soils. Often used as a ground cover, an edging plant or for planting in cracks and walls.  Good for naturalizing an area.
